This is voila's packing bible, read and learn ...
1. First pack the kids stuff as this will give you an idea on how much room you'll have left in your case and then thats when you can concentrate on yourself !!
Sonny's case
Ruby's case
2. For however many days you are away write an outfit list, for day and evening, trying on each ensemble making sure it's just right eg:
Monday
Day : Pink shorts, pink body and navy sweater
Eve: Nude pleat dress with tan sandals and gold cuffs
day
Tuesday
Day: Grey shorts, vest and blue shirt
Eve: Black bodycon dress and denim shirt with Aztec sandals.
DayI take pictures too, so I can make a little booklet of all my outfits for each day so I don't have to stress. Obviously you can mix it up a bit if you don't fancy wearing whats on your outfit list that day choose from another day.
Tip: When you are doing your list take in to account that further on in the holiday you will be more tanned so that white dress might be better to wear on the last couple of days of the hols instead of the first night there .
3. Perfect, you should now have a stream lined suit case with only what you need, instead of having half a suit case, full of stuff you end up never wearing or a pair of heels you wish you had bought, that would have gone better with a certain dress.
4. Accessorise: First bikini's, I tend to take about 5 for a weeks holiday as I often end up wearing them as under wear with my other clothes ...remember to pack them individually in sandwich bags, this makes them easy to pack and find, also if they are wet on the return home they wont make a mess of the rest of your clothes.
3 high heels, 3 flats is all you need and put these in a fabric bag to keep your clothes clean when packed in the suit case.
2 bags, 2 belts, 2 scarfs 1 hat and some bracelets.
Using my Alexander McQueen scarf as a head band, great when you are at the beach to protect your hair from the sun .
4. You should now have everything you need, so lay it all out on the bed ready to pack
5. Pack it all in the suit case popping your wash bag on the top and a plastic bag to put your dirty clothes in for on the way home.
Tip: Always pop your flip flops in your hand luggage, so when you arrive at your destination you can step off the plane and change in to your flip flops.. ready to get some sun .
Now you can enjoy your holiday with out any fashion disasters, looking effortlessly fabulous and stylish .
