For mothers day my children got me a voucher for a fish pedicure so this week I eventually got round to booking an appointment. My kids wanted to come and watch too as they couldn't quite grasp the idea of fish nibbling my toes!
I must say it is an odd sensation... Its like immersing your feet in a mass of wriggling seaweed, but pleasantly tickly. They seemed to congregated at a point where there was the most food on the foot and then once they were filled up on that bit, they seek out the areas between your toes. There is no doubt that my feet, after 30 minutes were lighter, tinglier and a lot smoother than before.

They are miniature carp no more than four inches long.
In the wild, they operate as cleaners, removing dead scales from larger river fish so to them, a pair of human feet is like having two big fish in their tank .
