Felicity lynch
I have a background in art & textiles, and in 2008 set up my own children's wear label Let Them Eat Cake. I stopped doing the business last year, to spend more time with my family & now concentrate on freelance creative projects. I do a lot of blogging and guest blogging on online magazines and just styled a fashion story for an American magazine. Basically creativity is in my blood! It's impossible to switch off, I am always thinking of new ideas and plans, and work closely with my graphic designer husband Oli on many projects. I am always looking to work with talented and eclectic people.
What five things could you not live without?
My Mac,iPhone & ipod, I've been using apple products for many years, and i love them !
My pictures, photos, magazine cuttings and basically anything that inspires me
A camera, i need to upgrade so I'm making do with my camera on my phone for now,but i love love love taking photos.
Vogue, a bit obvious, but I've been buying it for over 15yrs , so I'm very loyal
My glasses! After being told i now need to wear glasses, i treated myself to a super cool pair by my fave designer Phillip Lim.....
Describe your personal style?
Eclectic, Innovative and inspired! I don't follow rigid fashion rules, but as a designer i appreciate quality craftsmanship in clothing. I'm not a huge fan of the high street, so i try to scout out clothing from European brands. I tend to get attached to pieces that i love, so i cherish them & wear them again & again. These days i find shopping a bit tedious and prefer to do it online. I have a large amount of vintage clothing, which i love because it's whimsical & fun. I know what suits my shape & i stick to it . I especially love coats, jackets, denim and hats!
What beauty products do you recommend ?
I'm not going to pretend that I'm low maintenance, because I'm not !.... There isn't much i haven't tried! I used to spend an awful lot on products but over the last year i have been using mainly organic products on my hair & face. I have pared my make up back to the absolute basics because i just haven't got the time anymore. The brands i mainly use are By terry , Becca, Sarah Chapman, Radial, Mac, Chanel and Bobbi brown. I swear by Aveda conditioners, Paul Mitchell and kerastace hair products .
My most recent purchase?
A 1970's cherry red hat from a local vintage shop that i am totally in love with!
My fave places to shop?
Online! APC, Comptoir des cotonniers, Vintage shops and Topshop of course !
