Pilates 

On session 7 of my pilates training now, which is about half way!  Things are progressing nicely and I feel I've learnt so much. As I'm a very organised person I've invest some time in to organising my notes and have now a variety of different coloured files for different sections. For me I've found I need things organised and in sections to help me revise and I'm a very visual person so I remember information by where it is on the pages then I can remember what the information is. It's been hard getting in to studying again as it's been so long since I last had to revise and do homework...things have definitely changed.  My boyfriend sometimes looks at me when I'm surrounded by papers and books open, photocopying and typing up on the computer simultaneously and says to me the thought of doing that fills him with fear !  What I'm finding hard is that all of the principles in pilates Breathing, alignment , centre, control, flowing and focus all interlink so it's hard to file things away in section as one thing links into another. I find I start reading about extension exercises and find myself spiralling in to the anatomy of the abdominals and cocontraction ! Anyway I'm enjoying learning and expanding my knowledge. 
At the moment I m finding Josephs concept of the mind controlling the body interesting as it's something I strongly believe in too. Creating illness in our body and how our emotional state can influence the body. 
I've just ordered his two books ...





 I cant wait to read them and I also want to get this book Energy medicine .



A phrase my teacher said in our last session " Pilates comes from unwinding old body patterns and creating new ones " I like that.
