Pilates session 3

I'm now on session 3 of my Pilates course and it's only now I'm feeling I've come round to understanding the basics and feel confident with the terminology. I decided today to type out all my cue notes and practical exercises we had been taught and put them together, so when I'm practising on volunteers I can refer to my own interpreted notes.  I found just  doing this helped me understand and process all that I had been learning the last few session. The thought of the Anatomy and physiology still scares me abit but I've got a year still so I'm just going to take it a step at a time and not worry...it will sink in eventually!
I really enjoyed the last session and came away feeling a lot more confident and sure about what I'm doing. And I also vowed to get my filing and paper work in order to make revising easier. In the last session we covered the concepts of centre and neutral alignment and covered 10 or so exercise. I need to make a point of practising more on people to became more fluent in my teaching .

Notes to self:
Read Feldenkrais book on the concept of the clock : to find neutral position in your pelvis.
One thing that Suzanne said stuck in my mind from the last session was "Invite change" in terms of the body but is true in most aspects of your life.

I'm finding the course interesting and thought provoking , you think it's just learning movements but their is so many layers that unravel along the way...like and onion.

Part of the first few sessions was to assess our own posture which really was an eye opener.
This picture is of me next to a Plumb line to assess your posture type.
