1920's
The 1920s sequin flapper dress was all over the catwalk this season and we also have The Great Gatsby film to look forward to. I've been doing my research on this era as I have a 1920s birthday bash to attend in London. So I've been endlessly looking at eBay and images to decide on my look ...
Now, I've decided I want the long silky dress look instead of a fringe flapper dress. So with that in mind I hit my favourite treasure trove in Bath Jack & Danny's. It's a shop you have to earn your money to find the dress as its piled high with clothes, but once you've found it a since of pleasure and satisfaction washes over you .
Handmade beaded head band. My daughters piece of jewellery with a few feathers from one of her masks sewn on .
Have booked in with Fran at No3 hairdressing to get that 1920's curled hair look ...Cant wait !
Found a pair of LK Bennett shoes at the back of the cupboard from 9 years ago, could call them vintage. A vintage bag, from my grandmother....perfect.
Lush, lush, lush ! Can see myself wearing this with jeans in the summer but for the 1920's look will go perfectly over the dress.
Black silk dress with a dropped waist and lace details along the bottom. £20 Jack & danny's
So, I ended up buying 2 dresses in the end as this one went with the beaded jacket and I just loved the button up detail at the front, couldn't split them apart !! £30 including the jacket
Oh then there was this one I found in my archive of clothes !!
So I should be fine for the party .
