well being

Dropped in at Neals Yard, in Bath . I was offered a cup of herbal tea which was made up of :
Nettle, liquorice and peppermint, extremely refreshing and delicate to the taste.
Nettle is a good tonic and high in vitamin C content, best to pick fresh tops early in the morning.

liquorice is excellent for the adrenals.
Peppermint is excellent for the digestion.
Buy yourself a little Chatsford tea cup with its own strainer and brew yourself a healthy cup instead of reaching for a normal black tea or coffee. Drink warm during the day, after a meal or even cold with a slice of lemon.  You can collect the herbs yourself or buy them at Neals Yard.

I often have a bag of liquorice somewhere in my car so I can nibble on them whenever I fancy

useful tip : Somewhere in your garden keep a patch for nettles,  not only will they provide the herbs ready for picking but they also attract useful insects. Peppermint is another useful herb but keep it in a large pot as it does tend to spread itself everywhere.
