So as a stylist I feel jewellery is a way of adding your own personal style to an outfit. Simple jeans and a t.shirt can look so different with a touch of jewellery. 

 Each season you have the trend pieces, last year  it was the neon sparkly necklaces the year before it was bold chunky necklaces and  this year it's more about simple elegant necklaces and layering them to give your look different lengths of interest.

 My style is I have one simple necklace that I wear all the time so it has to be something small and goes with all my clothes. This year I updated my everyday necklace for the sharktooth one by Missoma, collection by Lucy williams. Then to add that layering trend this season I bought the horn large necklace so I could add or remove when I want to add a bit of interest to an outfit. I'm also a big fan of my memory rings which I wear on a few fingers giving my outfits that personal touch for me. 

If anything I would say jewellery is where you can enhance an outfit and bring it up to date or you can ruin an outfit ! If you are stuck in an era of jewellery you use to wear from years ago and have not noticed the new styles and trends of wearing it this can sometime make an outfit look all wrong. So maybe before the new season starts  take a look through your jewellery and put away pieces that aren't quite trendy at the moment and store away till they resurface again which they usually do!!
