Styling tips

A friend of mine Amy from Wired styling came over with some festive treats to get me started on making my own garland for the fireplace.

I've never made one before so I was a complete beginner. She had a selection of pine leaves , Eucalyptus and flowering Eucalyptus. My houses smelt like a fresh forest !  With a few adjustments along the way I held my concentrated for 2 hours with Christmas music playing, my garland was done. I really enjoyed making it and love the fact it's natural. I love to learn new things , is'nt that what we are here for , so any opportunity to learn a new skill or understand something a little better is what feeds my soul, makes me happy. We should do more things that make us happy. Another one of my requests was a floral display that would last the whole of December. Amy brightened my day with some Hydrogens and Eucalptus. They will last over 8 weeks. They look spectacular in a wide rim recycled glass vase  ( which she also supplies )
